FBI, police up reward for missing Colo. girl

GREELEY, Colo. — The reward for information in the case of a 12-year-old northern Colorado girl missing since March 28 has been doubled to $20,000.

Jim Davis, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Denver office, said Thursday that the reward was increased because investigators have been getting fewer leads lately about Kayleah (Kay LEE uh) Wilson of Greeley.

Investigators also asked the public to watch for behavior that could point to a possible abductor. They say people should watch for someone who has missed work, had unexplained recent injuries, or has shown an unexpected or sudden interest in the case.

The sixth-grader was last seen while walking to a friend’s house for a birthday party. Her disappearance triggered a massive search, with authorities pursuing more than 300 leads and knocking on the doors of about 1,000 homes.
