GAYA - Maoists belonging to the Revolutionary Communist Centre outfit set fire a heavy earth-moving machine that was being used in road construction in Bihar’s Gaya district.

“One machine was burnt near Rameshwar garden around 11: 30 p.m. Its cost is estimated to be around 50-60 lakh rupees. This machine was burnt by suspected Revolutionary Communist Centre rebels,” said Praveen Kumar, Station House Officer, Tikari Police Station, Gaya.

Rebels raided the construction site where a road was being built between Patna and Dumariya district in the state.

A pamphlet was recovered from the site, which warned the contractors against making the road. (ANI)
