PATNA - Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Ram Vilas Paswan wooed low-castes in Patna ahead of Bihar assembly polls.

Addressing a rally for the low-castes, Paswan lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for dividing the community in the state.

“Nitish Kumar is dividing the society, dividing the untouchables, the low castes. You all should stand united and work in dislodging Nitish Kumar,” said Paswan.

Earlier on Friday, he had asked the Centre and the Nitish Kumar Government to accord the Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to Lohar (blacksmith community) in Bihar.

It has been reported that all the major political parties including the ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), LJP and Congress have begun preparations for the state polls due later this year. (ANI)
