Details about Matisse Exhibition

WHAT: The Art Institute of Chicago is opening an exhibition titled “Matisse: Radical Invention, 1913-1917.”

WHERE: 111 S. Michigan Ave. or 159 E. Monroe St. Chicago.

WHEN: The exhibition opens March 20 and runs through June 20. The Art Institute is open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Regular hours are 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

COST: The exhibition is covered under general museum admission, which is $18 for adults; $12 for seniors and students; and free for children under 14. Discounts of $2 apply to Chicago residents. Free admission applies Thursday evenings throughout the year, Friday evenings from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Free admission passes are also available though the Chicago Public Library’s local branches.
