KANDAHAR - At least seven Afghan civilians were killed in a remote-controlled bomb explosion in Lashkar Gah, the capital of southern Helmand province, on Tuesday.

Another 14 were wounded in the blast that took place in front of a government building.

“The blast was caused by explosives attached to a bicycle and was controlled remotely,” a foreign news agency quoted Dawud Ahmadi, spokesman for Helmand’s provincial government, as saying.

All the casualties were civilians, he added. (ANI)
