DHARAMSHALA - Tibetan Buddhist monks on Tuesday offered special prayers for fruitful parleys between their spiritual leader Dalai Lama and US President Barack Obama.
About 30 Buddhist monks offered prayers and performed sacred rituals at the famous Tsugalgkhang Monastery in Dharamshala.
“We expect a good conclusion and we are praying for it. And since it is a first trip meeting with the Obama, so we are expecting a good result,” said Norbu Tsering, a Tibetan monk.
On Wednesday morning, Dalai Lama left from New Delhi by a special chartered flight to Washington.
Tibetans are optimistic and eagerly waiting for a positive outcome out of this meeting between their spiritual leader and the US President. (ANI)
