Flight cleared after bomb threat at Philly airport

PHILADELPHIA — An airline spokeswoman says it was a domestic dispute that led to a bomb threat and forced security to sweep a flight at Philadelphia International Airport.

Nothing suspicious was found and the plane has been returned into service.

Air Wisconsin spokeswoman Annette Daly says a passenger waiting to board a flight from Philadelphia to Norfolk, Va., had received threatening text messages Tuesday morning.

Daly says passengers had been waiting to board the plane, but never got on.

Authorities say the plane was taken to a remote location at the airport. Security swept the aircraft and found nothing.

The flight was canceled.

Philadelphia police say the man who made the threat is in custody in Virginia.
