Pa. ice rink roof collapses; people on stretchers

ROSTRAVER, Pa. — The roof of a suburban Pittsburgh ice skating rink has partially collapsed, and emergency crews are on the scene.

Several people have been placed on stretchers, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

The collapse was reported late Sunday afternoon at the Rostraver Ice Garden in Westmoreland County, about 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

The rink’s Web site says a public session was scheduled Sunday, but it’s unclear whether people were inside at the time of the collapse.

The cause of the collapse hasn’t been determined.
