Rashtriya Rifles soldiers equipped to guard border inspite of heavy snowfall

POONCH - Soldiers of the 40 Rashtriya Rifles are determined to face any challenge along the border despite the heavy snowfall in the region.
Army officials claimed the equipments they possess is put to use when required.
Ashok Rana, the commanding officer of 40 Rashtriya Rifles said, “We have various observation devices to combat with the fierce cold and the kind of patrolling our forces conduct in the region covered with snow are unique.”
“The instruments used during heavy snowfall like avalanche rods, ice sacks, etc help us in maintaining the region terror free, which makes us successful,” added Rana.
Soldiers have assured safety to the locals residing in the villages of the nearby areas.
Rashtriya Rifles officials said the ceasefire violations, which took place from the Pakistani side, were tackled successfully.
Ashok Rana said, “In recent times the ceasefire violations, which took place were successfully handled by the Indian forces. Even the locals, who are residing along the border area, feel fully safe and secure till our forces are deployed here.”
“We also assure that forces are attentive day and night and are ready to tackle any kind of insurgency or militant activities from the other side,” Rana added. (ANI)
