Kroger, union reach pact for some stores in South

ATLANTA — The Kroger Co. said Tuesday that it has reached a tentative agreement in contract talks with the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.

The agreement covers nearly 20,000 employees in stores in and near Atlanta and Savannah, Ga.

Kroger’s Atlanta Division said the agreement addresses jobs and health care benefits for employees and their families.

The details will be released after members vote on the pact.
