Prelim delayed for alleged unruly passenger in Pa.

PITTSBURGH — A preliminary hearing for a San Francisco man accused of fighting with the crew of a US Airways flight that had to be diverted to Pittsburgh remains in custody so his preliminary hearing has been postponed.

The FBI says Kinman Chan told them he was high on a double dose of medical marijuana cookies when he screamed, dropped his pants and attacked crew members on the flight from Philadelphia to Los Angeles on Sunday.

A federal magistrate was to hold a hearing on the case Wednesday, but that’s postponed because Chan remains jailed on a disorderly conduct charged filed by Allegheny County police.

Chan’s federal hearing is now scheduled for Friday afternoon.
