KISHTWAR - Militants gunned down two security personnel early on Friday morning in Tandar village in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The militants had opened fire at an army patrol on Thursday evening that was on its way to a suspected militant hideout in Tandar in the Dachhan area, about 240 kilometers northeast of Jammu.

The Army had specific intelligence reports before the search operations were carried out. They had reports that suspected militants were hiding in a cave in the Tandar area.

The Army have now sent additional reinforcements and launched a massive search operation in the area, where the two soldiers were attacked. (ANI)
