Types of transportation projects put on hold Thursday by Michigan transportation officials

Transportation projects facing delays in Michigan

The Michigan State Transportation Commission voted Thursday to delay hundreds of projects set to begin between this year and 2014 for lack of money. The 243 projects include:

—128 bridge replacements and rehabilitations

—105 road rehabilitations and reconstructions

—8 new roads

—2 road capacity improvements
