Police recover 2 bodies from Pa. pond, seek a 3rd

ZELIENOPLE, Pa. — Police say they believe divers have found the bodies of two teenagers and are looking for a third in a western Pennsylvania pond where a car was found submerged.

Police in Zelienople (zee-lee-uh-NOH’-pul) say three teens were reported missing Tuesday night. They confirmed divers and other crews recovered two bodies Wednesday morning and are searching for another.

Officials have not confirmed the car contained the missing teens, but Zelienople police say they’re operating on that assumption.

Beaver County emergency dispatch supervisor Frank Matis says the coroner has been called.

The pond lies about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.
