Delhi civic body to set up senior citizen centres

NEW DELHI - The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Wednesday said it would build centres for senior citizen in all its wards across the national capital.

MCD Standing Committee chairman R.K. Singhal said an allocation of Rs.10 lakh has been made for each ward for creation of such units. These units will also have televisions sets and newspapers.

“It will give the senior citizens a place to assemble and interact with one another,” Singhal said.
