Kumari Selja inaugurates India tourism pavilion in Spain

MADRID - Union Minister of Tourism and Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Kumari Selja has inaugurated the India Pavillion at the Feira International de Turismo, (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain.

The India Pavilion covering an area of 130 Sq. Mt. has been set up by the Indiatourism Office in Paris, which is responsible promotion of India in Spain. This year the fair is being held from January 20-24.

FITUR is a meeting point for tourism professionals from around the world, in which they establish lines of action, strategies and business alliances to energize and consolidate the tourism business.

Tourism promotion agencies, tour operators, hotels, travel agencies, consultancies and experts in international tourism management and development from all over the world meet in Madrid for FITUR annually.

Selja, who is currently leading a delegation to Spain to participate in FITUR, also had a bilateral meeting with her Spanish counterpart Miguel Sebastian.

Discussion between both the Ministers covered areas of bilateral tourism cooperation between India and Spain. (ANI)
