Shots reported as police surround western Pa. home

ZELIENOPLE, Pa. — State police in western Pennsylvania have surrounded a home where shots were reportedly fired and they say a man refuses to leave.

It isn’t immediately clear Tuesday whether anyone has been injured in the standoff in the town of Zelienople (zee-lee-uh-NOH’-pul).

Police have not said why they are seeking the man, who is in his 20s. They say he has refused to come out of the house since about 9 a.m.

Zelienople is about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.
