Bank of America’s Moynihan starts job as new CEO

RALEIGH, N.C. — The new head of Bank of America, the country’s largest bank, meets North Carolina’s business elite on his first work day on the job.

Bank of America chief executive Brian Moynihan speaks Monday in Raleigh at the annual economic forecast forum sponsored by the North Carolina Bankers Association and the state’s Chamber of Commerce.

Moynihan officially succeeded Ken Lewis in the job on New Year’s Day.

Moynihan is expected to discuss the ups and downs facing the financial services industry in the coming year.

He’ll be followed by speakers that include Betsy Duke, a member of the Federal Reserve’s governing board.
