Text of family’s plea for US soldier release

BOISE, Idaho — Text of a statement relayed by an Idaho National Guard spokesman from the family of Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl, who was captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan:

“The Bergdahl family pleads with the captors to let our only son come home. To Bowe: We love you and we believe in you. Stay strong.”
