Arms and ammunition seized in Poonch

POONCH - Police have seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a militant hideout in Jammu and Kashir’s Poonch district.

Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, Special Superintendent of Police, said that Central Reserve Police Force along with Special Operation Group and army jointly conducted the raid.

“In the Hadi Bhuda area there are three members of terrorist group and to track this group we had put our total focus upon this area after January 26. CRPF, and military were working together and for last ten to twelve days, we had been keeping watch over this group. And during the search operation they tracked hide outs and recovered arms which have been seized,” said Wani.

He further said that it is a big achievement for the joint forces as the arms and ammunitions recovered are efficient of causing massive destruction.

Four rocket launchers, two RPG guns, four anti tank rifle grenades, five RPG boosters, four hand grenades, twelve UBGL shells, two pressure mines, several AK magazines plus four detonators were recovered from the militant hideout. (ANI)
