MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The 54th death anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar would be observed across the country on Monday. As large number of followers of the iconic political leader are expected to converge at the Chaitya Bhoomi at Shivaji Park in Mumbai to pay their floral tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the city authorities are keeping no stones unturned to make sure that that the entire event is conducted with any kind of hassle. Given the fact that hundreds of people from states across India would be coming together in the commercial capital of the nation, city officials have issued a series of traffic restrictions for the smooth functioning of the event as well as the traffic movement.

Apart from the huge number of police forces which would be deployed in Shivaji Park to control the crowd and make sure that no untoward incident takes place, an advisory for the motorists in and around the adjoining areas has also been issued. Keeping in mind, the huge influx of people that is likely to take place in Shivaji Park on Monday, the advisory provides idea about how the traffic has been diverted and which roads to take as well as which roads to avoid to stay away from the traffic congestion that is likely to ensue tomorrow on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s death anniversary.

According to city officials, the restriction on traffic is likely to remain in effect from 8 p.m. on Sunday night to 9 at night the next day on the death anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Despite the traffic restrictions and city authorities trying their best to control the situation, Mumbaikars should brace themselves for heavy traffic on Monday.
