WANA - At least four rockets were fired in Pakistan's South Waziristan Agency (SWA) by terrorists, following Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Kayani's visit in the area.

WANA - Although the Pakistan army had launched a major offensive in South Waziristan one year ago, bands of fighters continue to assert their presence with gunfire, rockets and roadside bombs, and people who have little faith in the government's promises, have expressed wariness about returning to the region.

WANA - Pakistani tribesmen have been taking the help of sedatives to deal with the ear ripping explosions caused by rapidly increasing US drone attacks in the region.

WANA - At least 17 people were killed and 11 other sustained serious injuries in a bombing at a mosque in Wana Bazaar area of Pakistan's South Waziristan Agency (SWA).
