Giant potatoes found in Moradabad

MORADABAD - Potatoes weighing two kilograms have been found in Rasulpur village in Moradabad.
Hemraj, the owner of the farmland said: “Every year we cultivate potatoes. Every year we get potatoes of different varieties. But we have never seen such a variety of potato.”
Normal potatoes weigh between fifty to four hundred grams
Agronomists said these rare potatoes belong to the Kohkhral variety.
India contributes around 7.5 per cent to the world’s potato production and is the third largest potato producing nation, after China and Russia. (ANI)
