CAIRO - Egypt’s military has said it will not act as a substitute for a “legitimate” government following President Hosni Mubarak resignation.
A military spokesman said the armed forces would announce measures and arrangements to introduce the changes Egyptians want.
He also praised Mubarak for his contribution to the nation, CBS News reports.
US President Barack Obama said Mubarak’s resignation and the military’s decision to step into the void raises questions that he said Egyptians would be sure to answer. (ANI)
