More than two-thirds of girls under the age of 10 bullied: Oz study

SYDNEY - A new Australian survey has shown that more than two-thirds of girls under the age of 10 have been bullied.
The survey, conducted over the last year, revealed that bullying was of increasing concern for young women and girls, with 68 per cent aged between five and nine reporting that that they had been bullied, many of them online, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
One fifth of those aged 10 to 14 had also experienced bullying and some 65 per cent said that reports in the media made them worry for their own safety.
The Girl Guides Australia survey canvassed the views of 24,500 of its members aged up to 17, about issues ranging from climate change to self-esteem. (ANI)
