PMK to be part of the DMK-Congress alliance in Tamil Nadu: Karunanidhi

NEW DELHI - Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M. Karunanidhi on Sunday said that the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) would be part of the DMK-Congress alliance for the upcoming elections in the state.

“PMK, Muslim League, VCK will be in the alliance other than Congress and DMK,” Karunanidhi said in the national capital.

He further said that he would discuss the seat-sharing arrangement during his meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Karunanidhi is expected to meet Dr. Singh and Sonia Gandhi on Monday.

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister is accompanied by some members of his state cabinet.

Tamil Nadu state assembly election is scheduled to be held in May. (ANI)
