Four Maoists arrested with arms and explosives in Jharkhand

PALAMU - Jharkhand Police on Sunday said that they have arrested four Maoists and seized huge cache of arms and ammunitions from their possession in the state’s Palamu district.
Anup. T. Maathu, Superintendent of Police, Palamu, disclosed this to the media here.Police got the information that some dealings were going on for Maoists in Rehla police station area in Sankh village. On the basis of that information we instituted the team of Red with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and local police,” Maathu said.
“We surrounded the village. We got the information of this arms dealing from Ram Prasad Vishkarma’s house, so we surrounded the house also and further searched. During search operation we found three carbines, one automatic pistol, one revolver and 21 (live) bullets. We have arrested four persons in total,” he added.
He also said that three out of four arrested suspects were into the business of selling arms to Maoists groups in the region and another suspect name Santla Ram was in the wanted list of police and had a strong criminal record. (ANI)
