Women more likely than men to pull a sickie

LONDON - A recent research has found women are more likely than men to not only ‘pull a sickie’ but also to pull off embarrassing excuses for taking unplanned leaves.
The most embarrassing excuse given to the boss being none other than “women’s issues.”
Research carried out for Sovereign Health Care found employees were more likely to take an unwarranted day off this month than at any other time of year, reports the Telegraph.
From the 1,360 people who participated in the poll, more than half (56 percent) of the female participants admitted to pulling a sickie when not really ill, as apposed to just a third of the men.
The poll even brought into light rather extreme reasons given for absence including, “My dog has fallen and broken all its legs,” and “There’s a squirrel in my lounge,” among others. (ANI)
