Police bust an illegal arms factory in Moradabad

MORADABAD - Police here has busted an illegal arms factory.

Senior police officials said that they seized six pistols and materials used to manufacture them.

“Two weapon manufacturers have been arrested; they have been identified as Abrar and Rajabul. Six finished pistols have been recovered from them of 315 bore and 12 bore, other than materials required in their manufacturing. One of the arrested men has been to jail for committing the crime,” said Ashok Kumar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Moradabad Range.

The illegal weapons factory was discovered during series of raids conducted as a security measure ahead of the Republic Day slated to be celebrated on January 26. (ANI)
