Four arrested militants shifted from Goa to Manipur

IMPHAL - The four detained members of the People’s United Liberation Front (PULF), a militant outfit, have been brought here for further interrogation from Goa.

“We caught these guys from Goa, and they are PULF (People’s United Liberation Front) under M.I Khan group, the lady was running the show,” said Colonel Prashant Chauhan of the 16 Maratha Light Infantry.

The four militants, including a woman, were arrested in Cansaulium on January 20 during a joint operation organized by the Goa and Manipur Police.

Separatist movements have riddled India’s remote northeast for decades. Manipur is one of India’s most troubled regions. (ANI)
