Birmingham is capital of ‘child prostitution’

LONDON - Birmingham, a city and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands county of England, has been highlighted as the sex capital for child prostitution.
Foreign sex gangs are using it as a base to pimp children as young as 12.
At least 100 Birmingham kids, mainly girls, are thought to be trapped by foreign and some home-grown gangs determined to hand them around for sex with older men.
They are often smuggled along the M4 from Wales or the A55 in the north.
The sex gangs then pimp them out for their own perverted pleasure at as little as 10 pounds a time.
“We worked with 100 young girls last year and five boys, but that doesn’t mean there were only 105 children who were at risk,” the Daily Star quoted a spokesman for children’s charity Barnardo’s as saying.
“We need more centres to provide the kind of help and support children are able to access in Birmingham,” he added. (ANI)
