SRINAGAR - Indian Army’s 15 Corps Commander Lt. Gen S. A. Hasnian has said that terror infrastructure is still active across the border.
Interacting with mediaperson here on Wednesday, General Hasnian said: “One should not look at the number of militants operating. Rather one should see the broader picture of state sponsored terror infrastructure intact across the border.”
“Don’t see these things in statistics. Just try to see that the terror infrastructure is still intact across Line of Control (LOC). They are still trying to come here and ruin the atmosphere. We should see to it that we do not allow any terror incidents in the next three to four years, then only I can imagine a situation where things will improve,” he added.
He further said that Indian Army has been successful in bringing peace and stability in Kashmir.
“The army has and will ensure to win the minds and hearts of the people of the valley,” he added.
He also admitted that the situation over the past two decades had created a gulf between the armed forces and the people of Kashmir.
“It is my top priority to bridge this gap as we are here to serve the people,” he said. (ANI)
