WASHINGTON - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said she plans to stay right where she is until the end of President Barack Obama’s first term, but would love to have more spare time.
“I am very pleased to be working in this position now. I have said on many occasions I’m looking forward to returning to private life, something that I haven’t had the experience of for a long time now,” Politico quoted her, as saying on NBC’s “Today” show.
“I do look forward to having a little more spare time and a few more hours just to take a deep breath which seems hard to have in this job,” she added.linton denied she’s planning a move to the Pentagon to replace Robert Gates as Secretary of Defense should he step down.
“As far as I know, these are just rumours. I’m happy to stay where I am,” she said on CBS’s “The Early Show.”
Clinton told NBC that she’s “committed to President Obama [to] stay with him this first term” and intends to do so. (ANI)
