Pak people must make united effort to weed out terrorism from country: Altaf Hussain

KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the passenger van bomb blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district, in which 18 people were killed.
He said the merciless attack on civilian targets was a clear indication of the fact that the terrorists wanted to weaken the country.
Altaf said the only way to save Pakistan from falling apart would be a united effort of the country against the menace of terrorism.
“The Army, paramilitary forces, police, frontier constabulary were doing a fine work but unless the people of the country come forward and show unflinching solidarity, the terrorism cannot be weeded out from the country,” the Daily Times quoted the MQM chief, as saying.
He emphasised that it was not the time for people to keep their fingers crossed and wait for some miracle to happen.
“Angels would not descend to change our fate, we as a nation must carve our destiny because Allah has Himself spoken in His eternal message that He does change the fate of those who do not change themselves,” said Altaf. (ANI)
