Ritu Beri, Pankaj Udhas to take part in Spirit of India in Oman event in Muscat

MUSCAT - Indian fashion designer Ritu Berry and popular ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas will take part in the Spirit of India in Oman event to celebrate double occasion of the 40th National Day of Oman and the Republic Day of India.
According to a Gulf News report, Beri will bring her new creations for a show on January 28 at the Indian Embassy lawns in the Diplomatic District in Muscat.
On February 4, Pankaj Udhas will take to the stage to entertain his large fan following in Muscat.
Udhas has been coming to Muscat since later 80s and has performed a number of times here.
Both shows have been organised by the Light and Shadow Enterprises in association with the Embassy of India, Muscat.
“Anil Wadhwa, the Ambassador of India has successfully promoted Indian and Omani fostering stronger relations and ties between the two countries,” said Shruti Chowdhary, Director of Light and Shadows in a press statement released here.
“This being the last year of Wadhwa’s tenure in Oman as the Ambassador of India we would like to do this event on a very grand scale and celebrate the 40th National Day of Oman and the Republic Day of India,” she added.
This would be the third consecutive year that Light and Shadow Enterprises would be bringing to a series of events for the Celebration of the Republic Day in association with the Indian Embassy. (ANI)
