LONDON - No one should be sceptical about the fact that Pakistan is fighting the war on terrorism for its survival, Punjab Chief Minister Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif has said.

“War on terrorism is Pakistan’s own war which should be won at any cost for its survival,” Geo News quoted Shahbaz, as saying to a press conference held in London.

He said the entire nation, including army personnel and Jawans, had sacrificed their precious lives while fighting this most terrible menace in today’s world.

Commenting over the rising trend of corruption in the country, Shahbaz said corruption was ruling all over Pakistan today, adding that this curse had worsened the situation to such an extent that even pilgrims were no exception.

Dismissing the diplomatic disclosures made by whistle-blower website WikiLeaks, Shahbaz termed the cables regarding the alleged links of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) to defunct terror outfits as ‘baseless’ and ‘concocted’.(ANI)
