Grenade attack kills child, wounds six in Kandahar

KABUL - One child was lulled and six others were wounded in a grenade attack on two houses in Afghanistan’s southern Kandahar province on Friday.
The Washington Post quoted Kandahar Governor Tooryalai Wesa’s spokesman, Zelmai Ayubi, as saying that the attack occurred Friday morning in the district of Zhari, a Taliban heartland in the west of Kandahar city, adding that authorities were investigating why the houses were targeted.
The wounded have been taken to a nearby NATO base for medical help, and that two of the wounded and are said to be in serious condition. (ANI)
