MUMBAI - People participated in a motorbike rally in Mumbai to spread awareness about safe sex and safe driving among the youth on Sunday.

The participants in the rally said safe riding and safe sex are the most important things in one’s life, which everybody should keep in mind.

“See, riding is very important and safe riding is much more important and obviously sex, you cannot just risk with that because you are risking your life also and your partner’s life also. So, I guess this is an excellent message to everyone, safe sex, ride safe,” said Shonak Gholkar, a participant.

Deepa Malik, an ace athlete and bronze medal winner in the Paralympics in Asian Games also participated in the rally.

Malik said with this rally they are trying to promote safe means of riding in terms of bike and life.

“You know, when I got paralyzed, people thought that I am going to die in one room and mine is a spinal cord injury. I got on to become an international sports person, returning back with an Asian medal, the only women medal in athletics,” said Malik.

“And now, joining the bike rally with a message, when we talk life, we talk AIDS. The youth tend to get tempted towards the wrong means of life and wrong means of riding. So, what we are here to promote is safe riding in terms of life and bike,” she added.

Over 150 bikers participated in the rally. By Ritvick (ANI)
