LONDON - The number of victims of The Crossbow Cannibal, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of three women, could be as high as 14, revealed police.

Stephen Griffiths, 40, who admitted to butchering the three Bradford prostitutes, had told a lover that he would not stop until he killed one more than Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe’s 13.

The revelation could mean that there are 11 more victims of Griffiths still to be found, leading cops to now re-examine unsolved murders of several women.

Griffiths’ former girlfriend Amanda Judson, 45, told officers that he planned from his teenage years to top evil Sutcliffe’s total.

“He told me, ‘It will only stop when I’ve killed one more than him’,” the Sun quoted her as saying.

West Yorkshire officers have also contacted two neighbouring forces and Scotland Yard. So far they are checking five other cases for links to Griffiths. (ANI)
