SYDNEY - A new survey has revealed that Australian women would rather marry a tradie than a prince.

The survey conducted on 1000 people by the Australian Women’s Weekly found that the women would take a tradie over a millionaire, an actor or sportsman.I think it’s a very Australian result,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted the magazine’s editor-in-chief Helen McCabe as saying.

“Australian women are very down to earth and that’s reflected in this result,” she said.

She also said that while most like to admire royal romances from afar, they also realise it is not a realistic lifestyle.

The lifestyle of a tradie however, which McCabe described as getting up early, knocking off early then going for a beer, was pretty desirable for women.

The poll has been published in Australian Women’s Weekly, on sale December 22. (ANI)
