LONDON - Family members of a Brit-Indian millionaire, whose wife was killed during their honeymoon in Cape Town, have said that Shrien Dewani affectionately called Anni his “Barbie” because she loved dressing up.

According to the care home tycoons family, the couple met at a Starbucks Caf 18 months ago and fell madly in love, but now all Shrien has been left with are a few of Anni’s precious belongings, including an “Indian Barbie” he bought to signify her love for wearing different saris.

“Shrien clings to this doll as one of the last memories of Anni. He used to refer to her as ‘his Barbie’ as she used to love dressing up. They were mad about each other,” the Daily Express quoted a family source, as saying.

Earlier Dewani, who was accused of conspiring to have his wife killed in Cape Town, was released from Wandsworth Prison in south London by Justice Ouseley under conditions of electronic tagging, home curfew and having to report to the police daily.

Currently three men are in custody in South Africa for allegedly murdering Anni, including the couple’s taxi driver, Zola Tongo, 31. (ANI)
