Best milch camel competition held in UAE

Abu Dhabi, Dec 14 (IANS/WAM) A camel named Deri’a that gives nearly 12 kg of milk a day has been named as the best “milky camel” in a competition held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The competition was held by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH Dec 11-13. Camels from Oman, Saudi Arabia and Yemen took part.

Deri’a, owned by the UAE’s Obaid Nasseb Ateeq Al Subousi, came first with 11.7 kg of milk.

In the second position came Hamra, owned by Mubark Mohammed Bakheit Al Sha’sha’I of Oman, while the third position went to Bin Dhaiban, owned by Salih Marzouq Al Ameri of the UAE.
