CHICAGO (GaeaTimes.com)- Anne Hatch, the 27 year old daughter of former Minnesota Attorney General Mike Hatch, was found dead in her Chicago apartment on Sunday afternoon. She apparently committed suicide for some unknown reason. Since no suicide note was found in her apartment, the investigators could not trace the reason behind this mishap. However, her demise has shocked everyone in the state.
Minnesota Attorney General Mike Hatch was shocked with the news. He said in an interview that her death was rather unexpected and they never thought something like this was about to happen to their family. According to him, no parent can ever prepare themselves for the loss of a child. However, he is extremely grateful to all those people who are showering his family with warmth and compassion during this hard time, but he also wants them to respect the privacy of their family and this is a very sensitive issue. Anne Hatch was found dead in her apartment at about 3:45 p.m. Sunday, when a building employee conducting a well-being check, went inside her room. The Cook County medical examiner’s office conducted an autopsy and declared her dead at 4:52 p.m, as a result of suicide by hanging.
Anne Hatch is not the only one. According to the Centers for Disease Control, suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in America these days. More than 33,000 people commit suicide every year in America, while another 376,000 are treated in emergency departments for self inflicted injuries. Some social research also say that suicide tendencies are more prevalent during the holiday season. However, this theory may again be a myth as it has never been supported with proper data and proof.
