LONDON - English serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, who was dubbed as The Yorkshire Ripper for murdering 13 women, has been put on a strict diet over fears that he is eating himself to death.
Diabetic Sutcliffe, 64, who murdered the women between 1975 and 1980, has ballooned to 19st, and prison doctors are so concerned at his size that they have told him he will only survive if he sheds four stone.
The former trucker has been wolfing down burgers, chips, chocolates and biscuits, but now he is being offered salads, cereals and fruit, and gets just one hot meal a day instead of two.
He has also been given a personal trainer at Broadmoor Hospital, Berks.
“As an NHS hospital we have a duty to look after patients’ physical health. Those with particular needs have access to dietetic advice and may need to follow dietary plans,” the Daily Star quoted a spokesman as saying. (ANI)
