Schools in the adjacent areas of Michigan also chose to cancel classes on Monday after the entire region has been affected by extreme bad weather conditions. Recently the area was hit by a bad winter storm. As a result of the dangerous natural phenomena the region is exposed to blizzards and rain along with strong winds.
The temperature conditions have badly declined since last night and the area is right now in a freezing state. As a result of this drastic fall in temperature school authorities opted for the decision for school closings. What the weather is right now in Michigan, it is highly dangerous for people to tread outside. Naturally, it is also a big problem for school students to attend classes in this condition. Keeping this in mind schools took the decision. According to sources, as of now the schools have decided to remain close for Monday only but as to when they will resume classes is still not clear. If the weather conditions continue to prevail like this only, then they might remain closed for a longer stretch of time.
The National Weather Service has already announced that they are expecting more bad changes in the weather. More snowfall and rain is being expected. Along with this they have also said that there can also be chances of snow melting and flood conditions in Michigan. As soon as the weather improves the area will be bereft of the school closings.
