Moderate earthquake jolts northeast

SHILLONG - An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale shook most parts of the northeast early on Sunday morning.

According to the Regional Seismological Centre, the earthquake, which took place at around 7: 10 a.m. lasted for around ten seconds.

The epicentre of the quake is said to be along the Manipur-Tamenglong-Assam border.

No human casualty or loss of property was, however, reported due to the incident. (ANI)
