WELLINGTON - Sacked breakfast TV broadcaster Paul Henry, who made offensive comments against Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Indian origin New Zealand Governor Geranal, has been tipped to replace Maggie Barry as host of RadioLive’s drive-time show.
Barry was quitting to pursue other projects, and her last day at the station would be December 22.
The tip about her replacement was reported in the National Business Review, Stuff.co.nz reports.
RadioLive said it would not be making a decision on a replacement host until the New Year.
Television New Zealand sacked Henry over “offensive” comments by its former Breakfast host Paul Henry.
TVNZ received at least 600 complaints after Henry questioned whether or not Governor General Anand Satyanand was a New Zealander because he did not look or sound like one.
He was also criticised and had to ultimately resign over his mocking comments against the Delhi Chief Minister. (ANI)
