Honeysuckle is the colour of the year 2011, says Pantone

NEW YORK - Pantone have announced that honeysuckle is the colour of the year 2011 - they christened the reddish-pink shade, calling it ‘a brave new colour, for a brave new world’.
“In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits. Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating colour that gets the adrenaline going - perfect to ward off the blues,” the New York Daily News quoted Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute, as saying.
The new colour replaces last year’s turquoise, which was supposed to bring calm and serenity to our troubled world.
Perhaps thinking pink will improve the economic outlook for the new year. (ANI)
