Germany expresses condolences over Varanasi blast

NEW DELHI - The Deputy Head of the German Embassy in New Delhi, Christian-Matthias Schlaga, on behalf of German Ambassador to India, Thomas Matussek, met Union Home Secretary G. K. Pillai on Wednesday to express his country’s deepest condolences over Tuesday’s bomb blast in Varanasi.

Schlaga condemned the horrific act and said that Germany was with India in this hour of need.

He also said that the thoughts and sympathies of the German people are with the victims and their families and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. (ANI)
