BHADOHI - Expelled leader Amar Singh said on Sunday that if he opened his mouth, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav would be in jail.
Interacting with mediapersons here today, Amar Singh said: “First of all, the leader of Samajwadi Party (Mulayam Singh Yadav) should be asked just how many supplies I have made to him in the past 14 years. I was a supporting crutch for Mulayam Singh for 14 years. If I open my mouth and reveal all secrets, he would be in jail.”
Amar Singh further said that he would not divulge the ’secrets,’ since it was a matter of ‘principles’.
“I will not disclose the things I know, since it’s a matter of trust and principles. I was his (Mulayam Singh Yadav’s) friend for 14 years, if I stoop down to his level, then what will be the difference between him and me?” said Singh.
Amar Singh had stepped down from all party posts earlier this year citing health grounds. He was also upset with certain SP leaders for publicly criticising him.
Soon after he tendered his resignation, Samajwadi Party (SP) expelled Singh and Lok Sabha member Jaya Prada from the party for violating party norms and spoiling the reputation of the party. (ANI)
